To Rt Hon Yvette Cooper, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care

I've seen colleagues putting confidential patient data into chat GPT and people recording consultations with AI transcription services without patient consent. The unchecked use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the health service is a disaster waiting to happen. I know some Trusts have proper policies, but the Department of Health needs to issue standardised guidelines for every NHS trust and have a dedicated person in each to make sure it is used properly.
