It's disgusting and heartbreaking that staff who've worked for you for years found out they were losing their jobs in the news. Not only this, but most of your staff are employed on zero hours contracts so you're trying to snake out of paying redunancy pay.

Pay all your staff a proper redundancy payment to survive the shock of losing their jobs with a few days notice.

Here's what staff are saying:

"We've had no information about last paychecks, pay for holiday hours, redundancy, anything."

"I have given absolutely everything I have to that company for the last 4 years, along with my team. The way we have been treated since the first closure announcement at the start of lockdown has been horrendous. I understand the need to save the company by closing, but the way information has been drip fed to us has been awful."

"Team leaders regularly put in hours of unpaid work. We were meant to get those hours back as TOIL, but didn't. A lot of team leaders, across all sites, will put extra time into marketing and receive no payment for it. The locally unique, creative "cinemagic" events you see for unlimited customers are made by people who weren't paid, with the unspoken promise of being able to get ahead into a job that actually does pay."

"They should have consulted with us beforehand, like other companies are doing right now. It sucks to have that conversation, about the business struggling, about potential redundancies and closures, but keeping people in the dark means they can't plan for what's coming. Companies shouldn't be allowed to do this without talking to their staff, they shouldn't be allowed to give staff 3 days notice before closing doors."
