NHS workers are struggling with the cost of living crisis and the pressures of working in the NHS.

Here's what NHS workers from around the UK are saying:

“It’s now costing us to go to work with the petrol increases and cost of living I really do not see how we are supposed to make ends meet. When I’ve finished paying everything out I have £230 left to buy shopping and petrol. I'm always borrowing money from family so never truly get myself right. Something has to give! We have worked so hard during the pandemic risking ourselves and our families. People are leaving our trust to work in retail and other organisations as they get paid more. We are a valued service and work pressure increases every time someone leaves.”

“If I am struggling with life's basic needs (food, petrol, and a warm home). How can I be expected to look after patients”

“I'm a nurse who is struggling to pay my bills who put themselves in danger and his family during the pandemic working countless amounts of hours often understaffed for a wage that doesn't reflect my worth and can cover the cost of living”
