Set a maximum legal temperature for workplaces to protect workers and keep workplaces cool and safe. With temperatures reaching record levels this week, [1] workers' safety must be put first.

Extreme temperatures are becoming more frequent due to the climate crisis. To protect workers across sectors you must:

- Put in place an emergency legal maximum temperature for workplace
- When maximum temperature is exceeded, employers must give staff the option for more flexible working and relaxed dress codes during high heat

Keep staff safe during extreme weather and introduce a maximum temperature, just as we have a minimum.
