Asda's absence policy is unfair on colleagues who have an ongoing illness and must change! This policy discriminates against colleagues who have ongoing illnesses and are off work a few times in 26 weeks. Many are threatened with the sack and are told they are not capable of doing their job. Asda currently expect you to phone in 2 hours before your shift so they can get cover but I start at 3 am so I am expected to phone in sick at 1am which is silly as I won’t know if I’m poorly until I wake up at 2 am. Come on Asda sort this out!
