To Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg and Lord Callanan
The government are pushing through a Bonfire Bill that would see over 4,000 EU laws scrapped or reformed by the end of the year.
The rights this Bill deletes include many of the workers’ rights we rely on such as the working time regulations, paid leave, paid maternity and parental leave, protections against unfair treatment, health and safety legislation and the right to a rest break.
Not only is this bonfire Bill bad for workers' rights - it also represents a huge power grab by ministers, who will have the power to rewrite these laws, rather than MPs! This is undemocratic and must be stopped.

Petition text
Together we need to show our collective strength to the government and send a clear message that we will not accept this disastrous Bill and our hard-won rights be jeopardised for political point scoring.
Bin the Bonfire Bill and save our workers' rights!
Will you chip in?
Can you chip in £5 to show this petition to 1000 more people and get the Bonfire Bill on the national agenda? If each of us chips in what we can, together we can shoot for bigger, bolder tactics and not stop until we secure our hard-won working rights.
