To Pat McFadden, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, and Stephen Timms, Minister of State for Social Security and Disability.

When I had my PIP assessment, a nurse actually looked at how my condition affects my daily life.

Now the DWP wants to change that. Under a new system, the person deciding your PIP claim might not be a nurse or a healthcare professional at all, just a case manager with no medical training.

It's already happening to thousands of people. And ministers are set to roll it out everywhere this autumn, before anyone's properly checked if it actually works.

Petition text

1. Pause this until there's real evidence it's safe.
2. Keep healthcare professionals at the centre of PIP decisions, not case managers with no clinical training.

And be honest with Parliament and the public about what's happening.
