To CEO of HC-One / Home Secretary James Cleverly

The median average weekly wage for full time workers in England and Wales is £682 gross per week. I personally work at HC-One at £11.44p/h, 44 hours per week. I earn £503 per week. I would have to work 60 hours per week to get close to £682 per week.

My wife is currently on a spouse visa, with renewal due in 2025. I originally had to earn £18,600 per year for the financial requirement part of the visa. Earlier this month the government decided to increase that requirement to £38,700 from April 2025, which is completely unacceptable. I currently earn £26,000 which is £12,700 below the salary requirement. If the government do not repeal this change, my wife will be unable to stay in the UK and my child will be living without a mother.

Petition text

A reasonable pay rise for HC-One workers that matches the real Living Wage. Otherwise the government must realise that £38,700 is an unacceptable salary threshold in the UK, and reduce the family visa income threshold.
