To Victoria Atkins, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care

Carers' pay must increase in line with inflation, as well as the level of responsibility workers are given. When employers and agencies change the fee they charge clients, this must be reflected in carers' wages. My pay is not enough and does not change even when the economy changes. Carers are quitting and the health department is suffering as a result. Employers now bring in untrained workers to help the lack of staffing but their lack of knowledge causes conflict in the workplace.

Petition text

Give carers' pay rises every year in line with inflation, their level of responsibility, and the fees employers charge clients. Employers must include workers in the decision making around pay so we know they're providing fair pay.
