Private companies have made £1.6 billion in profits over the last two years. That's money that should have been kept in the public purse and used to fund our crumbling health service. Instead, shareholders are profiting from our ill health.
What's worse is that most of the profit is then going to offshore tax havens, rather than being taxed in the UK. It's a lose-lose for the public.

Privatisation doesn't improve the quality of our healthcare system and it costs the taxpayer far more than it needs to. Ministers need to immediately introduce a cap on how much profit can be made from our NHS, and work towards ending privatisation altogether.
