To LNER managing director David Horne
This summer, a colleague of mine was told to remove an RMT-issued Palestine solidarity badge, after a legal group complained on behalf of one passenger. Our own policy says badges are fine if they're the standard logo of a union we're in. So why did this one still have to come off?
It's the second time in a year this has come up. A year ago, one of our colleagues was sacked after saying "Free Palestine" outside of work. I don't think that's fair, and I'm not the only one at LNER who feels that way.

Allow your staff to express solidarity with Palestine, be straight about how the uniform policy actually works, and apply it for every badge and every cause.
