I had 2 weeks off sick with Covid as the guidance for patient facing healthcare staff is not to return until you're negative (2 negative tests after day 5 or 1 after day 10). Statutory sick pay is nowhere near enough to live on, to cover bills, mortgage/rent & other essentials.

Specsavers should introduce occupational sick pay for all staff - an amount that doesn't leave you struggling to pay your bills, mortgage etc. Statutory sick pay is abysmal and Specsavers as a multi-billion pound company should do better.
