I am a small business with 5 employees. Like many other small business owners, I have worked really hard to build my business up.
The majority of my takings are spent on staff wages and rent.
There is an ongoing campaign for the National minimum wage to be increased which I fully understand, however, I have now reached the VAT threshold meaning a 5th of my income will now go on VAT.
Raising the VAT threshold would open up so many doors for small businesses and would allow us to keep paying our employees a fair wage.
