Water companies have been over-charging customers for years for poor customer service, there has been a severe lack of maintenance of crumbling infrastructure, and they are flagrantly polluting the environment with sewage waste to save themselves money on processing costs to ensure bonuses for the bigwigs. Instead of spending money wisely on providing good quality service, the companies are profit driven and are sending our money to offshore bank accounts not doing what they are employed to do.

The only solution is to renationalise this basic, essential utility to ensure it is properly regulated, customers are getting good value for money, providers are held accountable and any funds raised go back into the public purse not into shareholders' offshore bank accounts. This course of action is the only rational solution for the government to adress spiralling costs as well as ensure the service can be effectively regulated.
