I worked for LNER for 18 years. Earlier this year, I was sacked after saying “Free Palestine” outside of work. Yet other staff who have posted Islamophobic rhetoric online have faced no consequences and kept their jobs.

This is hypocrisy. LNER has punished me for showing solidarity with Palestine, while allowing Islamophobia to go unchecked in the workplace.

After 18 years of service, I want my job back and for LNER to end their double standard by tackling Islamophobia, instead of punishing workers for showing solidarity with Palestine.
