To Places Leisure
Dear Places Leisure,
We are writing to express our disappointment and concern regarding the closure of the creche in New Malden. As you may be aware, many parents in the area rely on this facility to keep fit and have some time for themselves.
Childcare can be a major barrier to parents wanting to engage in physical activity, particularly those with young children. The creche in New Malden has provided a vital solution to this issue, allowing parents to work out without worrying about their children's safety and wellbeing.
By closing the creche, you are not only limiting access to exercise for parents but also denying children the opportunity to interact with other children and develop their social skills. It is also important to note that flexible childcare options should be encouraged to support the needs of working parents and carers in the community.
The closure of the creche has caused great dismay in the community, and we urge you to reconsider this decision. We understand the challenges faced by businesses during the pandemic, but we believe that with the proper support and investment, the creche can continue to provide an essential service for families in the area.
We hope that you will take our concerns seriously and work towards finding a solution that benefits everyone involved. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Parents of New Malden
