To Wes Streeting, Health Secretary

When I tried to return expensive NHS equipment so it could be used, I was told by contractors that it was 'not their problem'. Eventually they agreed to take the electric bed and hoist but told me all equipment gets put into the skip. I tried to give back 3 walking frames and crutches and was met with the same response: 'Bin it'. I’m horrified at the amount of money being thrown into skips when the equipment is perfectly fine and reusable. What happens next is companies then continue to sell replacement equipment (often at inflated prices) to the NHS.

This is a scandal and potentially if stopped would pour back thousands of pounds back into the NHS.

We must get this policy changed .
