To Tim Martin and the JD Wetherspoon Board

Did you know that Wetherspoon, one of the UK's largest pub chains, doesn't report its ethnicity pay gap? Wetherspoon's Annual General Meeting (AGM) is coming up in November, and together we're sending a clear message: it's time to commit to ethnicity pay gap reporting and set the standard for equality in the workplace.

Petition text

Dear Tim Martin and the JD Wetherspoon Board,

We, the undersigned, call on Wetherspoon to proactively commit to reporting its ethnicity pay gap in addition to its gender pay gap report, ahead of potential legislative requirements.

With the Labour Party pledging to introduce mandatory Ethnicity Pay Gap reporting, forward-thinking companies have an opportunity to lead by example. As one of the UK's largest pub chains and employers, JD Wetherspoon can set the standard for transparency and equality in the hospitality industry.

Recent data from the Office for National Statistics shows some minority ethnic workers earn 12less than UK-born White employees. By voluntarily reporting your ethnicity pay gap now, JD Wetherspoon can:

1. Demonstrate leadership and commitment to equality
2. Get ahead of potential legislative requirements
3. Identify and address any disparities within your workforce
4. Attract and retain diverse talent
5. Enhance your reputation as a socially responsible employer

We urge you to announce your commitment to ethnicity pay gap reporting at your upcoming AGM on November 21st. This proactive step will position JD Wetherspoon as an industry leader in workplace equality and transparency.
