Amazon delivery drivers all over the UK have received a pay reduction in January 2022.

Amazon drivers always receive a seasonal pay increase at Christmas due to the extra workload throughout the seasonal period, this is normal however, this year the wages have not just been reduced back to the level of pay before Christmas, they have now been reduced by an average of £20 per day. Amazon is well known for the pressures that it places upon drivers due to high parcel volumes each driver can receive 300 parcels per day.
All Amazon drivers working in the UK are self-employed and have to pay their own taxes and also work on a 0-hour basis providing no job security at all.
Many people that work as delivery drivers for Amazon hire vans at a very high cost, many of these drivers do not receive enough work at times to cover the cost of the rental vehicle, this means it can cost them money to deliver for Amazon let alone have money to take home after expenses. Taking this into consideration and the current increases in the cost of living and cost of fuel, I would like to ask Amazon to reconsider this reduction in pay for delivery drivers.
As delivery drivers we are exhausted, we've worked tirelessly through a pandemic only to come out of the other side and receive a kick in the teeth, a pay cut of £20 per day over the course of a working week is a substantial amount of money to loose.

So please Amazon review this pay cut as the timing is very inappropriate.
