To Martijn DeLange, Stephen Timms

There are many valid reasons for people to sign. Firstly, couriers have worked so hard throughout the last 2 years during lockdowns and Covid 19. They have been the backbone of both the company and the communities they service. Things have changed dramatically in recent months. Volumes have dropped. Not only due to consumers preferring to shop in store, but also due to EVRi 'rebalancing' rounds. In effect, taking the opportunity away from couriers to earn money. Added to this, the increase in fuel costs and general cost of living rises with electric, gas, council tax and now an increase in NI contributions

Petition text

We are in the year 2022. We are apparently self employed, yet have absolutely no control over 'our businesses'. We are dictated to in relation to how we work, do our jobs. We don't even have the option to invoice the company - they 'self bill' us.

Month in, month out, our pay is incorrect. Recently, the Company put back our pay date by 3 days - to 'ensure our pay was correct'. Nothing has changed. We still spend months chasing the company for underpayments. Many are owed £100's. Many of us are working below the NLW now which, as a 'self employed' person is absolutely ludicrous. Meanwhile, the Company have declared record profits but still the 'final mile' couriers are facing more pay cuts. Recently, we have been told we would receive 2.3p per mile as a payment towards our increased fuel costs. Amazon have been offered 21p per mile which still isn't enough. We need the Company to acknowledge the struggle of their end mile service providers. Many are leaving as they can't choose between food and fuel.

Over 15,000 signatures - Thank you
There has been a recent surge in the number of signatures added to this petition, which was started in April. No doubt connected with the fact that Evri are in the spotlight, as a result of poor customer service & delayed parcels. Many couriers have left as a result of many issues, not least the continuing high cost of fuel. Those that remain are doing their best to deliver huge volumes, including backlogged items in many areas. These delays are not the couriers' faults. Please be kind.

Just want to say thank you
A huge thank you to all of you who have taken the time to sign the petition. It really means a lot. Those of you who actually work for EVRi - please cast your vote on the Snap poll that has been posted. There is a calculator tool to assist you with this. Copy and paste it - it appears it's not a live link but still works.
