Phlebotomists bleed patients in Outpatient departments and on hospital wards everyday, we are bleeding covid positive patients throughout the pandemic without complaint but we're on the lowest band within the NHS Band 2. We are a skilled workforce but this banding does not reflect this. We are often asked to bleed patients when the nurses and doctors are struggling

We go from ward to ward every day of the year to make sure our patients receive the diagnosis and medication they require to get better. Without phlebotomists healthcare would have difficulty in functioning.

We shouldn't be at the bottom of NHS Band 2 - please move us up now.
