And finally, if you or someone you know are on the minimum wage, how does that impact your/their quality of life, especially in this economic climate?

For example, can you cover your rent and bills on the minimum wage? How would it positively impact you or your loved ones if it was raised?

not bad it has increased a lot it fair under 25 get less

I can't cover rent and bills on minimum wage so I am still living at home at 24. It just feels so impossible now as a young adult with the cost of living crisis, the current political climate and the climate crisis.

We are working so hard tax going to much why

We can have a fulfilling life rather than an existence. The government seem to think that if we can just about pay our bills then we are doing fine. However, that’s far from the truth. Times have changed and the government need to recognise that. Also, for working class people, it seems we can never advance in life because even if we work hard and get a pay increase, the cost of rent e.g. will go up so we’re no better off.

not possible to cover all this bills

Too many people struggle to pay all the bills on time as cost of living is so high.

People have to work every waking min to get a wage they can live on. And have no life at all

No not enough to pay my rent

Cutting back on everything now. Feel like we’re going backwards not forward.

I literally barely cover the rent and bills and I'm lucky considering how cheap my rent is compared to others.

By feeding them better quality food and knowing the bills are getting paid. It will maintain a better healthier lifestyles for everyone that will also have an impact on their health and education as eating right has an impact on everything and makes us feel better.

not good with increasing council tax, food and utilities with electric amongst highest in Europe.

People living in poverty

Although they are working, their diet is poor, they cant afford to have the heating on. They struggle to survive, and on credit.

Debts, overdrarts. Default charges

Worried about money all the time.

Yes We cannot afford to go out !!

Financial strain and mental health issues that go hand and hand. Varying levels of stress related to money whether one might be to buy a new appliance to having to fix something along with fear for the future.

Minimum wage not enough

Myself and thousand of government's own workers are on the basic National Living Wage, two grades of both admin assistants and admin officers squeezed onto the same rate of pay, thousands at food banks, government employers paying the legal minimum. Absolute disgrace. I am right behind this campaign!

People should eat a decent living no matter what they do. It gives everyone an incentive to work.

I don't know

Literally going to get priced out of living in London, inability to buy fresh and healthy food, no quality of life , li ing literally from pay check to pay heck and constantly in debt

I just can't afford things, even a weekly shop is scary due to lack of money

With the cost of living the way it is most people are struggling these day s price s need to go down wage s need to go up .

No.

Massively, any increase in wages is given in one hand and taken with the increase in something. Its becoming endless!

I can't afford even pay my all bills even working full time in band 2 .

Can't cover essentials from bills to food

N/a

I work has a part time carer assistant, I live with one child and just about get to my next pay day I have to lend money from friends and family because I can not cover everything till my next pay day , I can not afford food we live on cheap ready meals , people who work in the care services should be on 15 pounds a hour for the job we all do , supermarkets get more than us

0wning a home, all essential bills are covered for now but it's a struggle if anything has to be repaired or replaced in the home.

Access to quality food to lead a healthy life . Supports mental health I’d you can live and be social. Not just working to exist

The money or salary was not enough to pay all the bills

The low minimum wage keeps people trapped in poverty.

I am on min wage and when I get paid I pay all my bills put money aside for shopping/petrol that’s it, I buy my clothes from a charity shop as can’t afford to buy anything new it seems if you stay home sit on your arse you get given much more money to live on with your rent/council tax paid it seems you loose out if you go to work

My Rent increases mean the spare money left of my wages are not sufficient enough to pay bills and buy food !

As most of the UK can barely afford rent, let alone bills and food, raising the minimum income will drastically improve the quality of life.

They have to work on average 55 hours a week to make up a devent wage leaving no good work life balance.

My basic wage pays for every day food electricity ect… but I cannot save for unexpected expenses like a broken washing machine.

Yes my self by time I have paid my rent council tax am left with 500 for my gas electricity water bill TV. Food bus fares i struggle don't have a dinner

With one wage coming in and the cost of living rising aswell as household bills surviving on minimum wage is a joke 😞

They have very little left after paying ridiculous rent costs. They are not living , they are only existing!

They can barely exist after they've paid ridiculous rent costs. That's not living. It's only existing!
