Reversing fast in tight parked residential dead ends.

Mainly speeding but the app advises to go through no entrys and go the wrong way on one way streets

Driving and delivery the parcels under high stress. Working 9 to 12 hours/day continuously to meet the target. Very difficult to impossible to do correct this job. Unsafe for drivers and another pupils on the street( vulnerable people, people with pets,etc..

Drive through floods and unstable country roads

I do my best to drive safely under all circumstances even though when I get messages from amazon telling me that my 'delivery is late'.

Parking in dangerous places

Number of hours driving without a break.

No respect seeped limits.

Constant rush, no time for anything, speeding and parking in places that I really shouldn't be parking. Constant focus on meeting their targets and keeping up just to not fall behind makes me loose my attention to other important things whilst driving.

Parking in the middle of the road in narrow streets. Parking on double yellow lines. Being told by my managers to “speed up”

Putting life at risk crossing roads on 50mph zone

pressure because the amount of parcels and deliveries and you must do your retries when your route is finished

The biggest risk is the 12 or even 15 bags, when the van comes out of the warehouse full, and the driver's fear is how he will deliver them. That's all I had to put into words. other drivers can also explain other concerns. Who will do a sample of at least one day to deliver 250 packages will understand

Not taking breaks, not being able to wash hands

Crossing a 3 lane A-Road on foot because amazon application gave incorrect geo location

Speeding

Parking as close to the delivery as possible, as this saves a lot of time

What happens when you try to complain about something at work?

You get your days cut and lose work

they always say you need to improve and go an bit fast

They say they will offboard me or i can leave by myself if i don't like the rules

I complained recently regarding unsafe working conditions in regards to the safety of my vehicle, I was then told to “F-off”aggressively and forced to drive the unsafe vehicle. I did for a few miles then I returned the van and told management I would not be spoken to like that nor continue to drive unsafe/unsatisfactory vehicles! Now I am unemployed.

They tell you go home

Being told that I am moaning too much

No one cares

nobody cares

Nothing at all, the mentality at amazon is if you don't like it then quit and we will get someone else to do it.

Nothing changes. Manager says that they relay our issue to the Amazon representative, but the answer they get is that drivers from other agencies manage to find a way around and deal with the issue, so we should too. If we are unhappy we can leave, as the other agencies would happily take our routes.

We are told to like it or lump it

Nothing happens. Manager's are not interested as they know we are disposable workers people will just come along after you till they also get pushed to their mental limits and leave. They are selfish and just think about there own targets with no regard for the affects its having on workers lives.

no one cares

iti taie din zilele de munca

I got ignored or told that it is what it is. "get over it"

We can only complain to our company manager who would feed this back to Amazon

Sometimes I was understood, but nothing practically happened to improve the situation.

Nobody cares, all they care about is the parcels

You get robbed off and sent copy/paste responses that ignore reasonable points... the attitude is their way or the Highway

Nothing

I receive a stock email telling me that they take all things into consideration but that nothing can be done regarding my particular complaint

No one listen or everyone says that we are complaining too much.

You can't. There is no one to complain to. You tell your manager, but he can't do anything. You just get told its is amazon and the amazon system

Nothing

Nothing be done

I feel like I am being ignored. Seems like when I make complain to my DSP they act like they are sympathetic but behind their words there is nothing to put in action. Looks like my DSP is afraid what Amazon will say so they have no power to fight for us even if they would like to. When I speak to my manager he says he knows and kinda feels sorry but it more feels like he stays untouched by what I just told him. He let's it in and out in very same time if you know what I mean.

Nothing seems to happen. There is never any update from managers.

Nothing happens our DSP's says they cant do anything it's all Amazon

If I say too much parcels, response is "get a bigger van". Supervisors don't care about the driver and therefore health and safety is non-existent.

No point amazon rules

Days off or tells you to leave the car

Nothing! Given even harder route

Nothing

nothing, it gets ignored

They are ignoring it. If you don't likewit change the job.

It gets ignored.

Nothing

They don’t care

nothing , amz is just looking for customers. i am on my own

They say not to bring any parcels back ,only if cistomer is unavailable if is age verification

Nothing ever changges no one listens if you dont like it leave

Nothing 😅

Not much happens

Dsp tell as can't do nothing

My dsp tell me he can't do nothing, Amazon don't care.

Dropped from routes Less hours of work

I get told it's it's a job I signed up for and it's either I do it or leave it

Seems to fall on deaf ears

Threatened that I’ll get replaced

Amazon are abusing self employed, there is nothing self employed about the job

That this job is over-exaggerated and every time you are threatened to be offboarded if you don't follow what they say

The logistics company I was employed by on behalf of Amazon was paying some drivers more then others for them coming in for additional shifts, even though I was working that very shift I still got £85.50 but others where paid over £100, this is evident through the groups WhatsApp account. Lastly you are required to attend the depot 1 hour before your shift, to carry out vehicle checks and ensure all is ready for your routes etc, all unpaid and not factored into your 9hour shifts! Some days I was delivering parcels at 11pm and I was at the depot from 9am. Amazon is a dangerous workplace, driver turnover is big, drivers are tired and when you have your day off the franchise owner or supervisors ring you constantly to come in for additional work, if you refuse your then ignored in the work place and made to feel bad or worse let go. EMentor App is inaccurate and scores your incorrectly nearly every shift, also Amazon ask for Feedback using the Flex App, this Feedback is often an inconvenience before your shift because you are wanting to know where you are route wise and how best to tackle your day or load your van, so often people just flick past it and ignore the questions! If Amazon judge there feedback based on its own data it will be a huge lie.

To many stops,multystops

I doubt that anything can be changed. Amazon is too powerful at the moment.

This is slavery

the number of stops are getting ridiculous and if they lower the number of stops they will make multi-drops more difficult, like 1 stop contains 9 locations instead of 9 stops or less...basically you cannot win :(

I never see my family and some of my fellow colleagues have talked about taking their own lives at points due to what amazon drive us to.

It is really important that Amazon drops the targets as a matter of urgency. The reason is that as we are no longer in lockdown approximately 70% of the recipients are no longer at home when we arrive with the deliveries, which increases the time to complete each stop. For example, if during lockdown the average time to complete one delivery was 2 minutes, now this has increased to 5 minutes. The reason is that Amazon demands that we call or text the customer if they don't answer the doorbell, so they can give us instructions what they want us to do with their delivery. All this puts additional pressure on us and we have to try and find other ways to compensate for the lost time. So in most cases we end up spending, eating while driving, revving the engine excessively between stops, leading to even more pollution.

I work for a company who Amazon subcontract to - we get told that everything is Amazon's fault and that the team we work for cannot change anything - communication needs to improve as we are being treated like robotic slaves

Just for them to please bring in some sort of parcel limit people. The stress this job puts people through is not fair and means people are dangerous while working.

bring down the targets to max80 stops per routes

I quit that job yesterday. I rather be unemployed than dead. I caught myself having heart palpitations, nightmares, suicidal thoughts and other stress related stuff. I'm not a robot. I know that when things like this start to happen I need to run away from things that cause it. Hope you can help those who still need your help. People got families and they can't dump work like me.

If a customer says they have not got the parcel we loose a day's work.

I would be happy if this situation could change for the better to be safe for all of us involved and how do you think I could recover the time, money and health lost during the time I worked as a delivery driver for Amazon. Many thanks,

Help us

Yes — worker rights are on life support in this country. Big corporations dictate the rules and politicians look the other way.

We have to stay up through the night into the early hours of the morning on certain days in order to watch for and obtain 'offers' and 'reserved blocks'.... this means that we are losing sleep just so that we can make certain of obtaining just a few hours work for the coming week. We are not secure in the knowledge of being able to obtain, from one day to the next, enough work to sustain us.

Yes. No one is doing ride alongside with drivers to see which are the risks. They did this in the past and the work then was a lot less. Maybe half of what is at the moment.

Yes !? Speck face to face

Amazon says that safety is their top priority but the truth is very different of what they say in their slogans. We are all self-employed people who literally have no rights whatsoever. Amazon is controlling everything whether you like it or not. Please do not believe in the statements they make as it is just typical rubbish on their side. Nothing of that is true. All that is important to them is numbers and productivity. They want to squeeze as much as they of every single one of us at the lowest cost possible, and when you chasing crazy targets all year round there is no place for safety really... People behind it are steered by pure greed nothing else and safety of their men and women that do the job for them is something that really comes last.

The targets are too high. Managers don’t seem to care about the staff. There is no time for breaks or toilet breaks. We get told to speed up but then get in trouble for leaving parcels places they shouldn’t be. We get in trouble for returning parcels.

Our wages should go up every year aswell all agencies paying there own rates and fuel money they give us is less aswell its 18p per mile which is not covering our fuel expenses

Sub-companies (that amazon give their parcels to) must also come under fire to tighten their health and safety rules and you must close all loop holes. Everything must be accountable.

Nothing going to change no pay rise in 2yrs

Multi drops are getting ridiculous! We should get paid per parcel!

Your not just tired from the job you go home in physical pain everyday

Amazon hides the truth about amount of stops using multidrop stops. It's where you have one stop but many addresses. The biggest I had was 1 stop 13 different addresses which took me an 20minutes Amazon counted only 6

Working for amazon is worst then slavery, its like there is no basic rights for drivers.

i am responding to all e mails. when we will know about the change of target?

Discrimination

I started working for amazon over 4 years ago now and have seen the parcel count rise consistently forcing the driver to take more risks to do his job in thr aloted time when i started you went out with approx 160 parcels now it 300 plus in the same time for example your device will say you have 170 stops with 300 plus parcels but this is not the true case amazon hide drops inside stops called linked drops these are ment to be only for neighouring property's but now they are difrent streets multiple tower block flats in on some routes i do i can have 20 odd different rent appartments in multiple blocks all classed as 1 stop the true amount of properties ive called at is 259 +

If MP can come just a day with an Amazon courier driver on Routa will find out all details . P.S Should take a empty bottle for wee.

Amazon try to portray correctness e.g. social distancing etc. but it’s all a front. I have images of people not socially distancing outside

Force amazon to employ the drivers, is only way to protect us.

Stop slavery

During lockdown the toilets in most places where not available Amazon made no arrangements for lowering the delivery schedule to allow time for toilets break nor did the companies sub-contractors.. disgraceful behaviour

I ask compassionately that Amazon is legally made to consider complaints by drivers . An opinion poll will reflect same views by every single driver

I love my job but at the height of the pandemic I was delivering to lots of care homes without time to properly sanitise my hands or parcels and put lives at risk

We don’t mind larger routes as such but because we start so late all the time it affects how much time we spend working. If we could start at 7 or 8am and were allowed to take our time then it would be fine.

Stop Amazon give to us 300 parcel

We are currently doing more deliveries than Christmas (peak times) about 30 % more whilst being payed normal wage whilst at peak times we get payed an extra £30 a day. On average we work for an extra 2-3 hours a day and can't afford to take breaks because we need to keep to our targets

Just reduce the parcels

To lowers targets mainly and to make routes safer

No

Getting more tickets then you earn because of stress

lower deliveries and make this a friendly stress free delivery service

Too many stops and huge parcels allocations for delivery.

Too many nearly 300 parcel and more then 170 stops

No
